• Marie N. Carlie senior member of Stone Carlie & Company, L.L.C., was recently honored with the distinguished 2010 Women Influencing Now Regional Economic Development Award from Winning Women.  She was recognized for her significant contributions to the economic development of the bi-state region, her high ethical and professional standards, and her role as a woman entrepreneur, executive and public servant.  Marie currently serves as a tax relationship executive in the Tax and Business Services department and leads Stone Carlie’s Technology & Life Sciences Unit. She possesses over 25 years of professional experience in both large and small accounting firms. She serves clients in a wide variety of industries including distribution, manufacturing, professional service, real estate, construction, retail, technology, bio-technology, communications and the not-for-profit sector. She has extensive tax and business advisory experience serving emerging and middle-market companies; excels in her work with entrepreneurs, spending significant time assisting early-stage businesses with their growth; and works with many life science and bio-technology companies and volunteers significant time to their development. Marie was also instrumental in establishing the mentoring program at Stone Carlie, which has been vital for achieving professional staff career and leadership development, mentoring, job satisfaction and recognition. 

  • Kathleen Buescher-Milligan just completed her studies and earned a masters in library and information science from the University of Illinois.  She retired from Provident, Inc. in 2009 to devote full-time to completing these studies.  Her "encore career" goals are to work as a special librarian or an archivist with particular emphasis on serving people and organizations in the nonprofit community. 

  • Barbara C. Archer and the Archer Wealth Management team were recognized for the third consecutive year as a 2010 FIVE STAR Wealth Manager in St. Louis magazine for Best in Client Satisfaction.  This elite group represents less than four percent of the wealth managers in the St. Louis area.   This award follows her most recent accolade published in Forbes magazine as a 2009 Leading Wealth Manager of the Central United States. In 2008, Archer was highlighted as “One of the Top 250 Wealth Advisors” by Worth magazine.

    Barbara is founder and President of Archer Wealth Management, LLC.  She credits the company’s success to “the dedicated and caring team of professionals that serve to enrich our clients’ lives through financial solutions.”  Archer is a frequent speaker to industry professionals regarding her practice, which utilizes advanced technologies, creative offerings developed and customized for their high net worth clients, and an ongoing communications program to stay high touch and address individuals’ life issues.

  • Marie N. Carlie, senior member of Stone Carlie & Company, L.L.C., was recently honored with the distinguished “Women to Watch” Award by the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accounts (MSCPA), the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA), and Robert Half International.  The awards program highlights the achievements of women in the CPA profession.  “Seldom in my 28-year career have I worked with someone as dynamic and personable as Marie, and who expends as much energy helping others better themselves within the profession,” said Richard Kraner, senior member at Stone Carlie.  “The Women-to-Watch Award was made for a woman like Marie, and I can think of no person more deserving of this honor.”

  • Bridget Flood, executive director of the Incarnate Word Foundation, has been asked to serve on a White House task force by the newly formed White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. Flood will join 11 other people, mostly constitutional lawyers, on the “Reform of the Office” task force. The White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships was created with the aim of helping secular and faith-based nonprofits and community organizations.
